Getting The Ball Rolling

Dissatisfied with the movie reviews of others, I have decided to take up this blog as a way of broadcasting my opinions of video games, movies, and television. Even the trailers aren't safe.

I will attempt to provide helpful reviews, and hopefully make them somewhat entertaining. I mean come on, nobody wants to read a boring, professional review, let's just face that right now.

I know I'm not alone in feeling that professional movie/game/TV critics don't give the reviews that the medium truly deserves. Honestly, these things aren't made for them. They're made for us. They're made for the movie-goers, the players, the viewers watching from the couch.

I want to give the impressions of a fan. Someone who actually watches or plays and gives an honest opinion of the items at hand, rather than critiquing camera angles or some crap like that.

As a show of good will, I will be posting something new every week [on an as yet unassigned day] of things I've already watched or played. Granted, I won't go all the way back to NES with video games [we all look back on those days with fondness], but no movie is safe based on age.

I'll be reviewing one of my favorite video game series, the Batman Arkham Saga from Rocksteady and WB Montreal.



Now, rest assured that just because this is a personal favorite of mine, doesn't mean it will be a biased view of the franchise. I promise to be professional and not [completely] "fangasm" over the subject at hand.
